Senator Schumer calls President Trump most divisive since James Buchanan, still without coronavirus plan
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York says at a weekly news conference that President Donald Trump had committed one of the greatest failures of presidential leadership in the nation's history rivaled by Buchanan exacerbating divisions in the country before the Civil War by not addressing a national testing strategy, using the Defense Production Act to make corporate personal protective equipment against coronavirus and pushing states like Arizona, Texas and Florida to reopen to quickly, cutting funding for testing as Republicans wanted having no plan to do with the situation but waiting for Covid to disappear, unable to even model good behavior and encourage Americans wear masks.
