Bogota's homeless residents receive aid ahead of Christmas
BOGOTA, COLOMBIA - DECEMBER 19: Hundreds of homeless residents of Bogota have received aid from a group of volunteers, who eagerly offered a warm Christmas hug to the people in need.
Volunteers of El Banquete Del Bronx Foundation distributed food, medicine, as well as providing the opportunity to get a shower and new clothing.
Hundreds gathered at the city's Plaza Espana park and made queues to receive the aid.
They also enjoyed the music played by a band, which was part of the organization.
For the past several years, thousands of homeless people have benefitted from the services of the foundation, which motivate them to continue the processes of personal recovery and to leave the path of drugs and crime.
